Wind & Gear Guide

During the main season (April–October), Algarve wind typically ranges between 15–25 knots, depending on the forecast, tides and location.

Kite size depends on your weight and riding style, but as a reference: I weigh 60kg and ride my 10m most of the time, using a 12m on lighter days and an 8m on stronger days.

A 3/2 or 4/3 wetsuit is recommended depending on how cold you get.
